AUTO SHUTOFF If the compass does not detect a magnetic change of 15 degrees or more in 10 minutes, the "auto shutoff" switches off the unit, saving the settings. The lack of a magnetic changes usually means that the vehicle is parked. The "auto shutoff" works if you are using your 12 volt adapter or if you have the unit hardwired.
