For those who like to navigate the road or walk the trails, the WayFinder® V700 is designed for back-road driving as well as off-road hiking.

In either situation you'll be sure to find your way home with the only compass that automatically switches between vehicle and hand-held use. When placed in its cradle, the Wayfinder V700 corrects for your vehicle's magnetic field. Outside your vehicle it automatically switches into hand-held mode.

The Wayfinder V700 offers a compass rose and 8 cardinal points for a general direction, and a numeric 5° digital readout for a precise heading. The holographic display is bright, crisp, and clear. At night, a bright back light illuminates the display to ensure clear viewing. Includes batteries and 12-volt adapter.

Auto Shutoff `
If the compass does not detect a magnetic change of 15 degrees or more in 10 minutes, the "auto shutoff" switches off the unit, saving the settings. The lack of a magnetic changes usually means that the vehicle is parked. The "auto shutoff" works if you are using your 12 volt adapter or if you have the unit hardwired. The V7000 is currently the only unit which lets you override the "auto shutoff."
