Affix
the enclosed drill template/sticker on a desired position on the
door from outside. Make sure to align the horizontal line on the template
so it is level on the door.

Drill the large hole untill the pilot dril tip just appears on the other side. Stop and drill the rest from the otherside. This will avoid having chipped and rough edge. Now you have a the big whole drilled all the way through the door.
Caution:
The two small index holes are drilled from the outside and
not deeper than 1/4 inch. Do
not drill all the way through the door. |

Remove
the template/sticker from the door. |

Unscrew
the outside piece and insert it into the hole from the outside. |

With
the outside piece in place and its index pins dropped into
the index holes, hold the outside piece tightly in place while
you are screwing in the main body from the inside.

After
the front piece and the body are tight, tighten the ring nut on the
inside to firmly secure the DoorScope to the door. |
