Like other measuring instruments, alcohol breath analyzers also needs calibration as often as recommended. Manufacturers recommend 6 months to 1 year for personal devices and more often for non personal or evidential units. Calibration compensate for component aging and characteristic deviations.
To make sure your breathalyzer is current and accurate, we recommend sending in for calibration in at least once a year. Our lab is equipped with the standard DOT approved calibration equipment such as Gruth Wet Bath simulators to simulate the breath alcohol contents closest to human breath.
How To Send My Unit For Calibration?
- Purchase a calibration ticket for each unit
- Send the unit in its original packaging, if possible
- Please DO NOT SEND mouthpieces nor batteries
- Write calibration ticket number on the shipping label
- Describe any or all problems in details
- Maker sure to mail the unit insured or at least with a delivery confirmation ticket
